Job Overview

This role covers rotational band 5 Speech and Language Therapy services across various specialties, including inpatient acute wards and stroke units. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work with adults with acquired communication and swallowing disorders, developing expertise in assessment, management, and rehabilitation.

The post holder will receive regular supervision by senior Speech & Language Therapists and will be supported to develop their skills in swallowing and communication disorders. They will work as part of the wider therapy team and contribute to service developments along designated clinical pathways.

Responsibilities
  • Assess, manage, and rehabilitate patients with acquired communication and/or swallowing difficulties
  • Develop knowledge and skills in speech and language therapy, working closely with the multidisciplinary team
  • Contribute to service developments and quality improvement initiatives
