We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Primary SEMH Teaching Support Specialist to join our educational team at NextGen Teachers. This role involves supporting students with their learning activities, supervising them during class and other school activities, and providing one-on-one or small group support to those who require additional assistance.

The ideal candidate will have previous experience working with children with Social, Emotional Mental Health (SEMH) needs, strong communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team. They should also possess patience, empathy, and a genuine interest in supporting student learning and development.

Key Responsibilities

  3. Supervise students during class and other school activities, maintaining a safe and orderly environment.">
  4. Provide one-on-one or small group support to students who require additional assistance.">

Requirements

The successful applicant will have:

  • Previous experience working with children with SEMH needs.">
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.">

  • Basic knowledge of educational practices or child development principles.">
  • Familiarity with 'TeamTeach' and willingness to complete the course.">

Benefits

We offer a competitive salary of approximately £28,000 - £30,000 per annum, depending on experience, as well as opportunities for professional development and a supportive work environment.
