About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Scientist III to join our Product Analytics and Experimentation team at Expedia Group. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in using data to drive business decisions and improve the customer experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to understand performance metrics and identify areas for improvement.
  • Develop and maintain reporting pipelines to track experimentation impact.
  • Conduct exploratory analysis to identify friction across the funnel and quantify business impact.
  • Work with the wider product analytics team to gain a deeper understanding of our performance.
Requirements
  • Excellent logical thinking and a strong background in a quantitative field such as mathematics, physics, engineering, or data science.
  • Experience creating and analyzing drivers of performance metrics.
  • Demonstrated ability to work through complex business problems and implement suitable solutions.
  • Ability to use and interpret machine learning models such as propensity modeling and forecasting techniques.
  • Creative and analytical thinking with a love for data.
  • Experience with web analytics using tools such as Adobe Analytics or Google Analytics.
  • Experience with large datasets and proficiency in SQL and another programming language.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and data visualization skills.
  • Ability to prioritize among conflicting demands and be comfortable with ambiguity.
