We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated individual to join our team as a Head of Special Education. As a key member of our staff, you will play a vital role in supporting students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and ensuring they receive the best possible education.

Key Responsibilities
  • To develop and implement effective strategies to support students with SEN, ensuring they make progress and achieve their full potential.
  • To work closely with teachers, hub staff, and other professionals to ensure a cohesive and supportive learning environment.
  • To coordinate and lead annual reviews, ensuring that students' Education, Health & Care Plans (EHCPs) are up-to-date and effective.
  • To provide training and guidance to staff on supporting students with SEN, promoting a culture of inclusion and understanding.
  • To analyze data and develop strategies to improve educational attainment for students with SEN.
  • To maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student progress and EHCPs.
  • To work collaboratively with local authorities and healthcare services to ensure students receive the necessary support and resources.
Requirements
  • QTS/QTLS qualification and SENCO qualification or willingness to work towards.
  • Experience working with students with SEN and family liaison or emotional support settings.
  • Ability to demonstrate empathy and understanding of the needs of students with SEN.
  • Current, clean UK driving license.
