Key Responsibilities- Assist with the preparation of breakfast trays and other mealtimes, ensuring that all food is prepared to the highest standards.
- Assist in the serving of meals to residents when required, maintaining a high level of customer service and ensuring that all residents are treated with dignity and respect.
- Assist the Hostess with the drinks trolley, providing refreshments for residents and ensuring that all drinks are served in a timely and efficient manner.
- Wash up after mealtimes, ensuring that all crockery and equipment is cleaned and stored appropriately.
- Ensure that the daily cleaning of all food production equipment areas used by the catering department are cleaned to the highest standards, as per HACCP guidelines.
- Assist with the storage of deliveries, including stock rotation, and maintain a high level of organization and efficiency in the kitchen.
- Maintain confidentiality of information according to our Nursing Home's policy.
- Previous experience as a Kitchen Assistant or in a similar role.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with residents, staff, and external partners.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a high level of flexibility and adaptability.
- Knowledge of HACCP guidelines and food safety procedures.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
- Competitive hourly rate of pay.
- 20% enhancement at weekends.
