Job Title: Visiting Examiner

At Pearson, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Visiting Examiner to join our team of experts in Spanish language and culture.

About the Role

We are looking for a Visiting Examiner who will be responsible for marking candidates' performance in GCE A Level Spanish (2016 Specification) examinations. The successful candidate will visit centres, ensure the overall standards are maintained, and report any difficulties encountered during the assessment to Pearson.

Responsibilities
  • Mark candidates' performance in accordance with published marking criteria and procedures.
  • Report any difficulties encountered during the assessment to Pearson.
  • Undertake an agreed allocation of local centres.
  • Submit written reports to the Chief Examiner and/or Team Leaders.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A degree or equivalent.
  • Qualification as a teacher.
  • One academic year's worth of teaching experience within the last 8 years, within the relevant qualification and subject, since qualifying as a teacher.
Competencies

We are looking for someone with:

  • A high level of subject knowledge in Spanish language and culture.
  • The ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • IT literacy.
