About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Examination Marker to join our team at Pearson. As an Examination Marker, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and consistency of our examination processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Mark candidates' responses in accordance with our pre-defined mark scheme, adhering to the conditions of recognition and examination procedures.
  • Ensure a high level of subject knowledge to apply the mark scheme effectively.
  • Submit samples to your Team Leader at designated times.
  • Adhere to milestones for marking and ensure all administration is completed as specified.
Requirements
  • You will have a degree or equivalent qualification.
  • You will be a qualified teacher with at least one academic year's worth of teaching experience at GCSE (or International GCSE) or GCE (International A Level) level within the last 8 years.
  • You must be fluent in writing and speaking English.
Competencies
  • You will have the ability to work well under pressure.
  • You will have the ability to meet deadlines.
  • You will have a high level of subject knowledge in order to apply the mark scheme.
