Job Summary:

The Burford Recruitment Company Ltd is seeking a skilled Payroll and Bookkeeping Specialist to join their team. As a key member of the payroll team, you will be responsible for managing your own portfolio of clients, ensuring accuracy and compliance with current legislation. Your experience in practice settings and knowledge of payroll legislation will be invaluable in providing comprehensive support to a diverse client base.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage payroll for a variety of sectors, ensuring accuracy and compliance with current legislation.
Handle your own portfolio of clients using Sage and Xero payroll software.
Perform bookkeeping tasks, including bank reconciliations, ledger maintenance, credit control, and preparing supplier payments.
Keep up-to-date with legislative changes and participate in ongoing training as required.

Requirements:

Previous experience in payroll and bookkeeping, ideally in a practice setting.
Proficiency in Sage and Xero payroll software is highly desirable; Xero certification is a plus.
