A Career Opportunity for a Porter - Nights
Spire Healthcare is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Porter to join our team working on a full-time basis across a night shift rota.
Job Purpose
To deliver exceptional personal service to patients and staff in all departments, providing a highly efficient and courteous portering and distribution service throughout the hospital.
Key Responsibilities
- To transfer, transport, and guide patients safely around the hospital, demonstrating a caring, sympathetic, and professional approach.
- To collect and deliver clean and dirty linen, ensuring efficient logistics and minimising disruptions.
- To collect and dispose of refuse, adhering to infection control protocols and maintaining a clean and safe environment.
- To assist with mail sorting, franking mail as required, and support general administrative tasks.
- To contribute to the general security of the hospital and associated grounds, promoting a safe and secure environment for patients and staff.
- To deliver flowers and newspapers, enhancing the hospital experience for patients and visitors.
- To arrange furniture and equipment, ensuring a well-maintained and functional environment.
- To provide general assistance in all stores and distributive activities, supporting the smooth operation of the hospital.
- To assist in the receipt, checking, storage, and distribution of goods throughout the hospital, ensuring accurate and timely delivery.
- To undertake driving duties as required, adhering to safe driving practices and hospital policies.
- To maintain good working relationships, communications, and teamwork in the hospital and within the department, promoting a positive and collaborative environment.
- To ensure all duties are undertaken safely, adhering to hospital policies and procedures.
Contract Type: Permanent - Full Time
