Job Title: Hospital Porter
Spire Murrayfield Hospital is seeking a skilled and compassionate Hospital Porter to join their team. As a key member of the hospital's support staff, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of the hospital's buildings and grounds.
Key Responsibilities:
- Transport and escort patients safely and efficiently around the hospital, providing excellent customer service and a caring attitude.
- Collect and deliver clean and dirty linen, ensuring the hospital's facilities are maintained to the highest standards.
- Collect and dispose of domestic and clinical waste, adhering to health and safety protocols.
- Assist with the general security of the hospital buildings and grounds, working closely with other departments to ensure a safe and secure environment.
- Arrange furniture and equipment as required, demonstrating flexibility and a willingness to adapt to changing priorities.
- Undertake reception and switchboard duties as needed, providing a warm and welcoming experience for patients and visitors.
- Develop and maintain good working relationships with colleagues, communicating effectively and contributing to a positive team culture.
- Perform administrative tasks as required, such as answering phone calls and preparing medical records.
Requirements:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, staff, and visitors.
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks according to changing demands.
- A full, clean driving license is essential for this role.
