Job Title: Manufacturing Manager

Location: West Bromwich, West Midlands

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Manufacturing Manager to join our team at Allied Bakeries. As a key member of the site/regional management team, you will be responsible for leading and developing the manufacturing function to ensure optimal productivity and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities
  • Drive a Safety Culture: Improve and maintain a safe working environment, ensuring all team members are aware and complying with health and safety standards, legal and company requirements.
  • Effective Leadership: Develop and motivate the manufacturing team to ensure high levels of performance and meet or exceed all KPIs.
  • Manufacturing Excellence: Continuously review manufacturing practices, identifying and implementing initiatives to maximise performance and reduce operating costs.
  • Collaboration: Partner with engineering and technical managers to deliver a food-safe, reliable, and effective manufacturing process.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with relevant environmental legislation and site procedures, including contractor control.
  • Teamwork: Be an active member of the site/regional management team, fully participating in activities as required.
  • Relationship Building: Build and develop effective relationships with the management team on site and the wider AMB manufacturing team to ensure best practice is shared and optimal performance is achieved.
Requirements

We are looking for a successful leader with:

  • Leadership experience in a commercially challenging, results-driven, and fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • A graduate in Manufacturing or Engineering-related discipline (or equivalent).
  • Excellent project management and presentation skills.
  • Strong leadership and development skills.
  • Ability to build effective relationships and lead at all levels of the business.
  • Lateral thinking and critical reasoning skills to identify opportunities for improvement and deliver pragmatic solutions.
  • High commercial acumen and resilience to drive performance and change.
