Job Title: Manufacturing Manager

Location: West Bromwich, West Midlands

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Manufacturing Manager to join our team at Allied Bakeries. As a key member of the site/regional management team, you will be responsible for leading and developing the manufacturing function, ensuring optimal productivity and efficiency, and meeting all manufacturing KPI's.

Key Responsibilities
  • Drive a Safety Culture

Improve and maintain a safe working environment, ensuring all team members are aware and complying with health and safety standards, legal and company requirements.

Effective Leadership

Develop and motivate the manufacturing team to ensure high levels of performance and meet or exceed all KPI's.

Manufacturing Excellence

Review manufacturing practices, identify and implement initiatives to maximise performance and reduce operating costs.

Collaboration and Partnership

Partner with engineering and technical managers to deliver a food-safe, reliable, and effective manufacturing process.

Compliance and Governance

Ensure compliance with relevant environmental legislation and site procedures, including contractor control.

Site/Regional Management Team

Actively participate in site/regional management team activities as required.

Relationship Building

Build and develop effective relationships with the management team on site and the wider AMB manufacturing team to ensure best practice is shared and optimal performance is achieved.

Requirements

We are looking for a candidate with:

  • Leadership Experience

Successful leadership experience in a commercially challenging, results-driven, and fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Education and Qualifications

A graduate in manufacturing or engineering-related discipline (or equivalent) is preferable.

Skills and Abilities

Excellent project management and presentation skills, strong leadership and development skills, ability to build effective relationships, and credibility to lead and influence at all levels of the business.

Personal Qualities

Highly driven and results-focused with the resilience to drive performance and change.
