Job Title: Senior Financial Manager

Reporting to: Chief Financial Officer and Chief Executive Officer

The Senior Financial Manager will play a critical role in managing the organisation's financial health by overseeing financial planning, analysis, reporting, and control. This role requires strong leadership skills, a deep understanding of financial management principles, and the ability to work closely with senior management to drive financial strategy.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Management of the Finance Assistant to ensure the accurate and timely posting of all financial records.
  • Ensure the timely and accurate preparation of monthly & quarterly management accounts.
  • Working with external accountants to produce the annual financial statements in compliance with UK GAAP.
  • Manage the preparation of VAT returns and other regulatory filings.
  • Management of the external payroll provider, ensuring timely and accurate payroll processing for all employees.
  • Manage payroll-related queries and ensure prompt resolution of any issues.
  • Stay updated on changes in payroll legislation and ensure the company's payroll processes comply with the latest regulations.
  • Prepare and present detailed financial reports to senior management, highlighting key metrics and performance indicators.
  • Conduct in-depth financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for cost savings or revenue enhancement.
  • Collaborate with other departments to drive process improvements and enhance financial efficiency.
  • Identify opportunities to reduce costs without compromising on service quality.
  • Act as a key financial advisor to the leadership team, providing insights that drive strategic business decisions.
  • Support finance transformation activities.
  • Support the CFO in developing long-term financial strategies that align with our growth objectives.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Professional Certification: APA, ACCA, CIMA part or fully qualified.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a fast-paced, commercially focused finance team.
  • Advanced Excel skills & Xero (Required). Power BI (Desired).
