About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Purchasing Manager to join our team at Office Angels. As a key member of our procurement team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing purchasing strategies to maximize financial returns and ensure on-time delivery from suppliers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement purchasing strategies to meet business objectives
  • Review and optimize stock profiles to improve inventory control
  • Monitor and forecast inventory trends to inform purchasing decisions
  • Liaise with suppliers, manufacturers, and internal departments to ensure seamless supply chain operations
  • Network with the supply chain to negotiate pricing agreements and optimize inventory levels
  • Manage inventory, including storage, locations, transactions, and bills of materials
  • Implement and maintain a perpetual stock take program to ensure accurate inventory levels
  • Complete transactions in accordance with procedures and maintain agreed inventory levels
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you should have:

  • CIPS qualification or equivalent experience in procurement
  • Background in engineering with a service and manufacturing profile
  • Ability to inspire confidence in customers and suppliers
  • Commercial acumen to maximize financial returns
  • High level of competency in the use of IT systems
  • Understanding of stock management systems and financial controls
Desirable Qualifications

In addition to the essential requirements, the following qualifications and experience would be beneficial:

  • Experience working in a similar purchasing role
  • Knowledge of engineering components and their supply chains
