Job Title: Autism Support Worker / SEN Teaching Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Autism Support Worker / SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team at EdEx. As a key member of our staff, you will play a vital role in supporting students with Autism (ASD), PMLD (Profound Multiple Learning Difficulties), SLD (Severe Learning Difficulties), and Speech and Language (SP&L) needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support students with SEN on a day-to-day basis, providing a stimulating and safe learning environment.
  • Liaise with Class Teachers and the SENDCO regarding the progress of children.
  • Deliver specialist interventions and work closely with the school's therapists.
  • Provide a high level of support to students with complex needs, promoting independence and inclusion.

Requirements:

  • Experience of supporting children with SEN, ideally with a focus on Autism, PMLD, SLD, and SP&L.
  • Childcare-related experience, preferably with a SEN focus.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, staff, and parents.
  • A strong commitment to providing high-quality support and promoting the inclusion of students with SEN.
