Job Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Consultant Psychiatrist to join our Inpatient services at Westmorland General Hospital in Kendal. This is a full-time position (10 PAs) with excellent access to the M6 and a great work-life balance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Contribute to the Consultant On Call rota and receive additional remuneration
  • Develop and implement treatment plans for adult inpatients
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to provide high-quality patient care
  • Participate in medical education and training programs
  • Contribute to the development of the Trust's mental health services
Person Specification
  • MBBS or equivalent qualification
  • Full GMC registration and Licence to Practise
  • On GMC Specialist Register or within 6 months from time of interview
  • Section 12 approved
  • AC status or within 6 months from time of interview
