Job Overview:

New City College is a dynamic group of further education colleges in East London, comprising Tower Hamlets College, Hackney Community College, Epping Forest College, Redbridge College, Havering College of Further & Higher Education, and Havering Sixth Form College.

We are committed to delivering high-quality education and training to our students, and we are seeking an experienced Education Support Coordinator to join our team.

The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the transition of EHCP and High Needs Students from school to college, ensuring a smooth and successful transition with maximum inclusion.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop strong relationships with schools, feeder schools, special schools, and local authorities to plan provision and transition for learners with difficulties and/or disabilities.
  • Work closely with the Supported Learning and SEND teams to ensure all relevant information is recorded and provided in a timely manner.
  • Attend annual reviews at schools and arrange observations of the learners who potentially will be attending the college.
What You'll Need:
  • A degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
  • Experience working within education with High Needs and EHCP learners.
  • Familiarity with the Annual Review process of an Education Health and Care plan.
