Job Opportunity:

We are seeking a highly organized and proactive individual to provide administrative support to the Grasping Data project and broader activities for the Children, Interaction, and Design group.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide general administration, management of communications, event organization, and financial administration, including transaction management, procurement, and team expenses.
  • Support the collection of impact data and preparation of regular reports, including documenting and uploading project outputs.
  • Maintain project finance records, monitor income and expenditure, forecast financial position, and administer the research project grant in liaison with the University of Edinburgh School Research, Knowledge Exchange and Impact Offices.

Requirements:

  • Strong background in providing administrative support, including financial administration, reporting, and monitoring of complex projects.
  • High level of initiative with evidence of proactivity.
  • Previous experience of facilitating and advising on routine and complex procurement.
  • Knowledge of best practice in maintaining external communications.
  • Proven record of successful event delivery.

About the Role:

This is a part-time fixed-term contract role, working within the College of Arts, Humanities & Social Sciences at the University of Edinburgh.
