Job Title: Plumber

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Plumber to join our team at HMP Woodhill, a Category A, Male prison. As a Plumber, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing plumbing systems, ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and repair plumbing systems, including pipes, fixtures, and appliances
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as cleaning and inspecting equipment
  • Respond to emergency situations, such as leaks and floods
  • Collaborate with other maintenance teams to ensure seamless operation of facilities

Requirements:

  • Two years' experience working in a role as a plumber or equivalent
  • Familiarity with Water Supply Regulation and Control of Legionella L8 requirements
  • Experience working on commercial or industrial heating and water systems
  • Good working knowledge of relevant health and safety requirements
  • Plumber qualified to C&G 6035 (Plumbing), C&G 6189 (Plumbing and heating) and NVQ level 3 in Plumbing or equivalent
  • Good Health & Safety knowledge
  • Excellent organisational, time management and people skills
