Job Description

We are seeking a Financial Reporting Specialist - Audit Quality to join our team. The successful candidate will have a proven ability to apply technical knowledge to complex financial reporting issues and provide practical solutions.

  • Work closely with Senior Managers, Managers, Directors, and Partners within AQD and across the wider firm.
  • Provide support and supervision to junior team members.

The ideal candidate will be ACA/ICAS qualified or have overseas equivalent experience, with specific skills in/experience of insurance or asset management an advantage. Strong oral and written communication skills are essential, along with the ability to create productive relationships across the firm and network.

Responsibilities
  1. Technical review of a personal portfolio of annual reports of publicly traded and other higher risk companies, working with the audit team to confirm compliance with financial reporting standards, company legislation, and regulatory requirements.
  2. Providing clear and practical solutions to technical financial reporting queries and acting as a consultant for junior members of the team.
  3. Preparing and presenting financial reporting training, updates, and seminars both internally and externally.
  4. Helping to develop financial reporting tools and guidance for application by the firm's partners and staff.
  5. Writing articles and other publications on financial and corporate reporting matters for internal and external communications.
  6. Assisting with the preparation of draft responses to external consultations in relation to legal, regulatory, and financial reporting matters.
  7. Monitoring external developments in corporate reporting areas, reporting back to the team, and developing an appropriate action plan where required.
  8. Supporting and coaching junior members of the FRA team.
About You

We're looking for someone who is passionate about financial reporting and has a strong understanding of the industry. The salary for this role is £65,000-£85,000 per annum, depending on experience.
