Butchery Department Manager

About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Butchery Department Manager to run our Butchery Departments like their own business.
This is an exciting opportunity where you will work with customers to develop their business, understand your local market, and provide them with great service.
As a Butchery Department Manager, you will have the flexibility to run a butchery business without the financial risk.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintaining high standards in all areas, including stock, food safety procedures, staff morale, and customer satisfaction.
- Working alongside the Store Manager to develop a business plan that supports the growth in sales and profitability of your department.
- Greeting and speaking to customers, providing advice, answering questions, accepting orders, and offering helpful advice.
- Ordering and managing stock, including stocktaking.
- Effectively developing and managing a small team, including staff rotas.
- Cutting meat to order.
- Cleaning and maintaining tools and equipment.
- Coordinating deliveries or order pickups.
- Controlling waste.
