Hickory's Smokehouse is a rapidly growing, independent Southern-style Smokehouse group in the UK, renowned for its award-winning Hickory's Academy. We're seeking a highly motivated and experienced Deputy General Manager to join our team and contribute to our continued success.

About the Role

As a Deputy General Manager, you will be responsible for leading a team of 100+ staff members, providing exceptional customer service, and driving sales growth. You will work closely with the General Manager to develop and implement strategies to improve restaurant operations, increase customer satisfaction, and enhance the overall dining experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and motivate a high-performing team to achieve sales targets and provide exceptional customer service
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve restaurant operations, including menu planning, inventory management, and staff training
  • Collaborate with the General Manager to set and achieve business objectives, including sales growth and customer satisfaction
  • Monitor and control costs, including labor, inventory, and overhead expenses
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements
  • Provide coaching and training to staff members to enhance their skills and knowledge

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Previous experience as a Deputy General Manager or in a similar leadership role
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to motivate and inspire a team to achieve sales targets and provide exceptional customer service
  • Strong business acumen and analytical skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
