The FP&A Business Intelligence professional is a key member of the Tarmac Group Finance team, supporting group-wide planning processes including annual budgets and forecasts.

As a Business Intelligence specialist, you will work closely with finance teams across business units to ensure consistency in planning approach and performance reporting.

Your key responsibilities will include facilitating accurate on-time reporting, assessment, and communication of financial results.

  • You will support the production of monthly reports for senior management, providing enhanced analysis of business performance.
  • Perform month-end tasks including journal postings, reconciliations, and controls.
  • Participate in the group-wide planning process, liaising with stakeholders across the business, sourcing key assumptions, and ensuring consistency across business units.
  • Deliver ad-hoc data analysis and financial modeling.
  • Prepare financial and non-financial KPI reports to meet required deadlines.
  • Build strong working relationships with Regional Business Finance teams, CRH reporting team, and External Auditors.

To succeed in this role, you should be an experienced FP&A Analyst or have proven financial experience in an analytical or decision support role. You should hold a relevant accountancy qualification (AAT / ACA / ACCA or CIMA) and possess:

  • Management reporting experience.
  • Strong financial knowledge.
  • Attention to detail with high accuracy.
  • A strong team player, self-motivated, proactive, and able to use own initiative.
  • Excellent data analysis and manipulation skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and effectively prioritize to meet deadlines.
  • Strong verbal and written presentation skills.
  • Proficiency in BW and SAP, and strong Excel skills are essential.
  • Experience with HFM and Anaplan is advantageous.

The estimated salary for this position is £55,000 - £65,000 per annum, depending on qualifications and experience.
