About the Role
We are seeking dedicated and enthusiastic Support Workers to join our well-established team at Beech House. In this rewarding role, you will provide essential support to individuals with Autism, Learning Disabilities, Behaviours of Concern, Physical Disabilities, Mental Health conditions, Epilepsy, and Complex Needs.
As a Support Worker, your primary responsibility will be to empower individuals to live fulfilling lives by assisting them in their daily activities, promoting independence, and fostering a supportive environment. You will work collaboratively with colleagues and families to ensure that each person receives personalized care tailored to their unique needs.
Key Responsibilities:- Encourage individuals to participate in meaningful activities and pursue their interests, including community outings.
- Coordinate scheduled activities and appointments, ensuring a structured and engaging daily routine.
- Provide personalized support with personal care tasks, promoting independence and dignity.
- Assist individuals in developing coping mechanisms and strategies to manage their emotional well-being and mental health.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records, including incident reports, daily notes, and financial documentation.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to effectively communicate with individuals who use various methods of communication.
- Experience or a strong desire to support individuals with Mental Health conditions, Learning Disabilities, or Challenging Behaviors.
- Good basic comprehension of English language, including literacy and numerical skills.
- A genuine commitment to personal development and ongoing training.
