Job Overview

The successful applicant will join our team of experienced nurses and healthcare professionals who provide high-quality care and support to children with a range of needs, including short-term illnesses, long-term disabilities, and chronic health conditions.

Main Duties

As a Community Children's Nurse, you will work in a variety of settings, including homes, educational establishments, and clinics throughout East Kent. You will provide care under the direction of the Team Leader and Community Nurse Specialists, working autonomously and as part of a team to deliver high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide nursing care to children with a range of needs, including palliative care, oncology, respiratory, cardiac, gastroenterology, and special needs.
  • Work in a variety of settings, including homes, educational establishments, and clinics.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality patient care.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with children, young people, and their families.
  • Contribute to the development of the team and the organization.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Registered Nurse (Child Branch) or RSCN qualification.
  • At least 2-3 years post-registration clinical experience working with children and their families.
  • Wide range of professional knowledge and experience of paediatric nursing, including palliative care, oncology, respiratory, cardiac, gastroenterology, and special needs.
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
