Casual Funeral Service Operative

As a Casual Funeral Service Operative at Dignity PLC, you will have the opportunity to work in a dynamic and supportive environment. This role is perfect for someone who is looking for flexibility in their work-life balance.

Responsibilities:
  1. Have a Full UK Manual Driving License.
  2. Be physically able to lift and carry heavy weights in accordance with manual handling procedures.
  3. Have ideally familiarized yourself with the local community.
  4. Provide excellent customer service.
  5. Demonstrate composure and empathy in sensitive situations.
  6. Be reliable, well-presented and aim for high standards in your job role.

A typical day in this role may include taking part in our on-call rota, aiding with bringing the deceased into our care throughout office hours and out of hours, preparing and maintaining vehicle cleanliness, participating in coffining duties, and bearing the coffin and driving company vehicles.
