The Role and Its Focus

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced surveyor to join our Infrastructure Services division. The division plays a crucial role in delivering projects that contribute to a more sustainable and long-lasting infrastructure for the UK. Our clients come from various sectors, including electricity, gas, water, fibre optics, oil, and renewables.

As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for project managing from routing to construction and completion, as well as providing consultancy services associated with benchmarking, procedures, and management systems. Your expertise will be invaluable in helping us understand our clients' specific requirements and industry developments.

Based in Stafford, this is a permanent full-time position with a 37.5-hour workweek (Monday to Friday). We are open to discussing part-time and flexible working requirements (minimum 30 hours per week). Our hybrid working policy allows you to design your working day to suit your needs.

Key Responsibilities:

Advising on and managing infrastructure projects from local to national scales
Providing land consultancy advice to clients for various work types, such as maintenance of existing apparatus or installation of new equipment
Advising clients on all aspects of their interactions with landowners, providing professional support
Involvement in land referencing, preparation, and service of statutory notices, negotiation of compensation, and acquisitions of rights to facilitate projects
Liaising with landowners and dealing with public enquiries
Supporting wider projects across the business
Reporting directly to clients on project progression
Supporting the training and mentoring of our graduates in the team to help them achieve their goals

Requirements:

MRICS or AssocRICS qualifications (preferably)
Strong project management skills
Excellent IT skills
Exceptional interpersonal skills with the confidence to communicate and negotiate effectively at all levels
The ability to self-manage to meet deadlines
Experience in building strong, lasting relationships, networking, and promoting the business
Excellent people skills with the ability to influence decisions
Outstanding prioritisation and organisational skills
Excellent attention to detail
Great verbal and written communication
