About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Property Surveyor to join our team in Stafford, United Kingdom.

Job Description:

As a Senior Property Surveyor, you will be responsible for undertaking planned maintenance programmes, designing and specifying projects, supervising work on site, and verifying invoices for payment. You will also provide routine advice and support to the Local Authority on day-to-day and planned maintenance repairs.

You will be responsible for implementing, diagnosing, and managing works for the repair and maintenance of various buildings assigned to you. This will include project management/supervising officer duties, liaising with the establishment representative, and ensuring that projects are carried out within approved budgets and health and safety procedures.

You will ensure the use of and adherence to appropriate health and safety risk assessments and precautions commensurate with the complexity of the project, with particular reference to the CDM 2015 regulations.

Requirements:
  • A minimum of an HNC/HND in Building Studies or equivalent qualification; relevant Degree is desirable.
  • Knowledge and experience of Listed Buildings and the preparation and submission of Listed Building Applications.
  • Qualified trades people within an appropriate trade with suitable supervisory experience will be considered.
  • Experience in the management and organisation of building maintenance project works, working to budgets and deadlines.
  • Experience in the provision of building specifications/drawings (AutoCad Lt is preferred) for maintenance and minor improvement works.
  • The ability to diagnose buildings defects, identify solutions, and communicate these effectively to the relevant parties.
  • Knowledge of building and planning regulations and other statutory requirements in relation to the design and construction of minor improvement projects.
  • A current Full Driving license.
  • A DBS enhanced disclosure will be required.
