Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced EBME Technician to join our team at Lewisham and Greenwich NHS Trust. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing specialized clinical technical services to repair, maintain, and electrical safety test complex medical equipment used for the diagnosis and treatment of patients.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Accountable to the Head of EBME
  • Provide specialized clinical technical services to repair, maintain, and electrical safety test complex medical equipment
  • Communicate with clinical users to gain a full understanding of the nature of fault or problem with the medical equipment
  • Contribute to the planned preventative maintenance systems for the above equipment
  • Produce comprehensive reports for each repair/maintenance job carried out
  • Provide first line training for clinical staff within the Trust

Key Skills and Qualifications:

  • Minimum of HNC in Electronic engineering or equivalent
  • Training in the repair and maintenance of a number of key types of complex medical equipment
  • Current Driving Licence
