Mental Health Nurse Specialist

">Salary: £34,000 - £43,041 per annum
">About the Role">We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Registered Mental Health Nurse to join our Brain Injury Rehabilitation team. As a Mental Health Nurse Specialist, you will work closely with multidisciplinary teams to provide high-quality care to individuals with complex mental health needs.
">Your primary responsibility will be to coordinate the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care for service users. You will also be required to liaise with family members, carers, and other professionals to ensure comprehensive support.
">You will be working on a twelve-bedded inpatient unit providing cognitive, emotional, and behavioral support to individuals with a wide range of needs. The successful candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
">Main Responsibilities">The key responsibilities of this role include:
">- ">
- Coordinating the assessment and planning of care for service users">
- Liaising with family members, carers, and other professionals to ensure comprehensive support">
- Implementing and evaluating care plans in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams">
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of service user care and treatment">
- Providing nursing reports in written and verbal formats as requested">
- Taking responsibility for the safe administration of medication to service users">
- Acting as a mentor to junior staff and nursing students">
- Assisting senior ward staff in implementing change or new systems within the area">

- Registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC)">
- Evidence of post-registration study in mental health nursing">
- Experience of working with individuals with complex mental health needs">

- Demonstrated commitment to continuing professional development">
