Job Title: Cleaning and Maintenance Specialist

Location: Usher Hall, Edinburgh

Shift Pattern: 5 over 7 evenings and weekends, 0 hours per week

Pay Rate: £12.00 per hour

Job Overview:

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Cleaning and Maintenance Specialist to join our team at ABM UK. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our office and events venue premises.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Cleaning and Maintenance: Hoovering/mopping, cleaning washrooms and kitchens, carrying out deep cleans as required, and using buffers and carpet cleaners.
  • Health and Safety: Ensuring premises are safe and disinfected regularly, removing waste, replenishing consumables and supplies, and attending reactive jobs (spillages).
  • Customer Service: Working alongside our clients and their staff to provide excellent customer service and support.

Person Specification:

  • Communication Skills: Must be well-presented and a good communicator.
  • Attitude and Demeanour: Must have a can-do attitude and a polite and approachable demeanour.
  • Timekeeping and Attendance: Hardworking and proactive, with a good timekeeping and attendance record.
  • Previous Experience: Previous cleaning experience preferred, with a focus on unsupervised work and prioritizing workload.
  • Customer Service/Care and Leadership Skills: Strong customer service/care and leadership skills.
  • Problem Solving and Time Management Skills: Problem solving and time management skills desired.
  • Flexibility and Proactivity: Flexible and proactive attitude essential.
  • Health and Safety Knowledge: Understanding and knowledge of health and safety policies.
  • Representing ABM Values: Willing to go the extra mile and represent ABM values on site by being presentable, uniformed, and helpful at all times.
