At Taylor Root, we are seeking a highly skilled Senior Legal Counsel IP to join our team.
About the RoleThis is an exciting opportunity for a qualified Solicitor specialising in IP to take on a key role within our corporate legal department.
Key Responsibilities- Draft and negotiate a full range of IP and IT related contracts with business and licensing teams.
- Negotiate and draft intellectual property, software and technology licenses, as well as collaboration and partnership agreements.
- Collaborate with commercial, technology and sourcing teams on commercial and sourcing agreements, including software and IP.
- Apply legal and business judgment to proposed deals, relationships and other issues requiring legal attention.
- Preferably (but not essential) qualification as a Patent Attorney.
- Extensive experience in drafting and negotiating IP licenses.
- Solid knowledge of intellectual property (including patents, trademarks, copyrights and trade secrets) and contract law.
- Experience in handling software legal matters, including software licenses, open-source software, EULAs, evaluation, SaaS and development agreements.
We offer a competitive salary of $150,000 - $180,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus benefits including a generous bonus scheme and opportunities for career growth.
You will be based in Amersham, with the option to work from home 2 days a week. We also offer a 'reasonable' in-office policy for those further afield.
