Epic Systems Trainer

An accomplished Trainer with expertise in Digital training, focused on delivering cross-organisational solutions for staff in relevant application areas. The successful candidate will lead the analysis, design, delivery, implementation and evaluation of Epic applications including ASAP, Cupid, Radiant, Beaker and Lumens, as well as Outpatients, Beacon, Wisdom, Phoenix and Community.
Main Duties- Define the training curriculum and develop course materials, working closely with Application Teams, to produce a long term and complex training programme for specific EHR/Epic applications.
- Develop high quality, up-to-date and easy to follow end user training materials using the GSTT style and appropriate format, including manuals, teaching aids, PowerPoint presentations, quick reference leaflets, eLearning packages and online learning programmes.
- Communicate highly complex work processes with knowledge of local workflows which may create contentious situations.
- Provide education and training to GSTT and its partner organisations, ensuring adherence to Trust policies and protocols.
- Actively participate in continuous professional development and take part in the Train the Trainer accreditation required by the Trust.
- Ensure attendees are appropriately booked slots on courses are fully utilised, and attendance records/training outcomes are recorded accurately and timely on the Learning Management System (LMS), working closely with other Trainers, Application and Configuration teams and the Training Administrator(s) as required.
- Assess user competence during training identifying and taking action where staff fail to achieve the required level, including completing a report or recording a risk, and ensuring both the Training Manager and appropriate Line Manager(s) are informed and record using agreed processes.
- Identify complex user queries and take appropriate action to resolve these in conjunction with colleagues/Super Users/Training Manager.
- Fully participate in peer observations, offering supportive and constructive feedback to Training colleagues.
- Degree in a subject which incorporates skills relevant to the post or professional experience, skills and training.
- Epic Training Certificate (training given in post and must be completed within the first 5 months of role).
