We are seeking a highly skilled and organized individual to join our Middle Office Operations team as an Underwriting Support Specialist. This exciting opportunity will allow you to develop your skills and expertise in risk solutions, supporting the Underwriting business units and ensuring operational tasks are managed efficiently.

Your Responsibilities

  • Assist underwriters in recording risk details on source systems, developing knowledge of the class of business and accounts written.
  • Liaise with underwriters to ensure correct interpretation of data for accuracy and completeness.
  • Maintain underwriting documentation/files, keeping all documentation in order.
  • Liaise with the Credit Control team - answering queries, tracking and monitoring premium using core underwriting systems.
  • Work with and build relationships with underwriting support functions to respond to regular control and exception reports, including data entry and adherence to common standards.

Requirements

  • Minimum A-level standard of education or equivalent business experience.
  • Proficient use of Microsoft Excel with VLookups/Pivots/formulae on a daily basis without guidance.
  • Computer literate – experience using Microsoft Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Teams would be advantageous.
  • System data entry experience and processes would be beneficial.

Salary Information

Estimated salary: £25,000 - £35,000 per annum, depending on location and experience.
