Job Summary:

Omega is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Design Manager to lead our engineering team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing the entire life cycle of projects, from initial conceptual designs to final delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and coordinate the engineering team to ensure timely and successful project delivery
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers to understand their requirements and specifications
  • Translate customer specifications into detailed designs and specifications, covering all aspects of the project lifecycle
  • Work closely with the project manager to ensure project deliverables are met
  • Lead the design team in identifying and mitigating technical risks

Requirements:

  • Relevant engineering degree and significant experience in design management
  • Strong technical knowledge of mechanics, electrical systems, power systems, fluid power, control and measurement, and software related to special purpose machines and test rigs
  • Excellent communication and project management skills
  • Experience with SolidWorks, Microsoft Office, and other relevant software
