Job Summary:

New Directions Holding is seeking a highly motivated and experienced IT Educator to join our team of professionals. As an IT Educator, you will be responsible for teaching all areas of computer science and technology to students in a secondary school setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teaching and Lesson Planning: Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons to students of varying ability levels, ensuring that they meet the curriculum requirements.
  • Classroom Management: Maintain a well-organized and disciplined classroom environment, promoting a positive learning atmosphere.
  • Assessment and Recording: Accurately assess and record student progress, providing constructive feedback to support their development.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Work effectively with colleagues to coordinate activities and resources, ensuring a cohesive and supportive learning environment.
  • Professional Development: Stay up-to-date with changes and developments in the curriculum, attending relevant training and professional development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge.

Requirements:

  • Qualifications: Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and have experience teaching in a secondary or further education setting.
  • Skills and Experience: Possess a keen interest and experience in the development of ICT skills, with strong classroom management skills and the ability to motivate students.
  • Personal Qualities: Be enthusiastic, imaginative, and dedicated to providing a high-quality education to students.
