About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Sous Chef to join our team at The Cricketers on the Green, a prestigious pub and inn operated by Grosvenor Pubs & Inns. As a key member of our kitchen team, you will be responsible for assisting the Head Chef in the preparation and presentation of high-quality dishes, ensuring exceptional customer service, and maintaining a clean and safe working environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the Head Chef in menu planning, food preparation, and presentation
  • Supervise and train junior kitchen staff to ensure efficient service and high-quality dishes
  • Monitor inventory levels, manage stock, and maintain a clean and organized kitchen
  • Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure seamless service and exceptional customer experience
  • Participate in menu development, taste testing, and quality control

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of experience as a Sous Chef in a high-volume kitchen environment
  • Proven track record of delivering high-quality dishes and exceptional customer service
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and train junior staff
  • Knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices, with a focus on maintaining a clean and safe working environment
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced kitchen environment, with a focus on efficiency and productivity
