We are seeking an experienced English Teacher to join our dedicated team at EdStart Schools. As a specialist in teaching English to students with Special Educational Needs and Social and Emotional Mental Health (SEND and SEMH) challenges, you will play a vital role in supporting their academic and personal growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- To develop and maintain a thorough knowledge of the English curriculum, ensuring alignment with wider educational developments.
- To create engaging lesson plans that cater to individual learning needs, incorporating various teaching strategies and resources.
- To implement effective behaviour management techniques, fostering a positive and focused classroom environment.
- To assess student progress regularly, providing constructive feedback to guide their improvement.
- To collaborate with colleagues, including SENCo and teaching assistants, to ensure comprehensive support for students.
- To engage in ongoing professional development, staying informed about best practices in teaching English to students with SEND and SEMH.
