About the Role

We are seeking two Support Workers to join our team in Bridlington, working in a job share capacity to support an individual with Motor Neurone Disease. The successful candidates will work 15 hours per week, with flexible hours to be discussed at interview.

About the Individual

The gentleman we support is a 55-year-old male with a strong interest in history. He requires assistance with daily living tasks, including toileting, showering, dressing, meal preparation, feeding, and mobility support using an electrical or manual wheelchair.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide personal care and support to the individual, including toileting, showering, and dressing
  • Assist with meal preparation and feeding
  • Support the individual's mobility needs, including walking with an electrical or manual wheelchair
  • Be punctual, resourceful, and proactive in your approach to supporting the individual
  • Communicate effectively with the individual, being thoughtful and considerate in your actions and words
  • Be sensitive to and able to positively manage and respond to the individual's needs
  • Be flexible to adapt to changing schedules and patient needs

Requirements

Previous experience in caregiving is preferred but not required. The successful candidates will be required to undergo DBS/Reference checks, which will be met by the local authority.
