About the Role

The East Riding of Yorkshire Council is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Cover Supervisor to take on a leadership role in our school. As a Senior Cover Supervisor, you will be responsible for supervising classes in the absence of subject teachers, adapting to changing circumstances, and ensuring the smooth operation of our educational programs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise classes and ensure the safety and well-being of students
  • Oversee the allocation of emergency cover and manage the absence line
  • Input absences into the Management Information System and assign cover to gaps
  • Support the Data Officer and HR Lead with longer-term planning and organizational tasks

Requirements

  • Experience in classroom management and supervision
  • Strong organizational and administrative skills
  • Ability to follow procedures and protocols
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
