Job Opportunity: HR Business Partner

We are partnering with a Local Authority in Sefton to support the appointment of an HR Business Partner on a 3-month contract, with potential for extension. If you're a skilled HR professional, please submit your CV for immediate consideration.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure efficient management of the Council's sickness absence procedures, adhering to policies and procedures, and maintaining effective liaison with Trade Union representatives.
  • Ensure managers and supervisory staff are fully conversant with the sickness absence policy and procedures, and have completed mandatory training. Develop and disseminate communications to staff, training, and awareness briefings as required.
  • Analyze sickness absence data in-depth and produce statistical reports for management as needed.
  • Ensure reasonableness and equality in all aspects of decision-making relative to the implementation of the sickness absence processes.
  • Maintain a robust methodology for the sickness absence procedures and effectively manage any failure to adhere to the procedures to ensure future compliance.

Requirements:

  • Level 2 or equivalent in English and Maths
  • Experience in a Generalist HR Role or ability to demonstrate related experience
  • Experience in negotiating/consultation and handling employee relations issues, and liaison with Trade Union representatives

  • You should be available to work immediately or at short notice.
  • You should have the right to work in the U.K.
  • This role requires a basic DBS
