This is an exciting opportunity to lead and manage the occupational therapy team in Cumbria County Council. We are a relatively new unitary council, and there is great potential for further development to innovate and address the challenges posed by the demands on health, social care, and housing systems.

Role Overview

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the occupational therapy team, ensuring that services are delivered to the highest standard, and providing support to rehabilitation officers for visually impaired people.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage the occupational therapy team to deliver high-quality services
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve service delivery and outcomes
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure effective communication and service alignment
  • Provide guidance and support to rehabilitation officers
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Proven experience in managing occupational therapy teams or similar settings
  • Excellent leadership and management skills
  • Ability to develop and implement effective strategies to improve service delivery
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
