About the Role:

A Literacy Mentor will provide support to disadvantaged children, children with SEND, and high-achieving children to help them overcome academic barriers. They will work alongside EYFS and KS1 Teachers and the SEND team to provide adequate support for each student. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with vulnerable and disadvantaged children and a kind and caring personality. They will utilize their skills and knowledge to improve children's English and Literacy skills. The role offers the option for schools direct teacher training after a year, making it perfect for Literacy Mentors looking to get into teaching.

Requirements:

The ideal candidate will be a First-class graduate from a Top UK University with a degree in English, Linguistics, Education, or Modern Languages. They will have any previous experience in tutoring or teaching and an interest in Linguistics, a Career as a Primary School Teacher, or even Speech and Language. They will be passionate about working with children and have a kind and caring personality.
