Job Title: Mechanical Fitter

We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Mechanical Fitter to join our team at the Barnsley plant. As a Mechanical Fitter, you will be responsible for carrying out reactive mechanical maintenance and Pre Planned Maintenance on all machinery, diagnosing breakdown problems and controlling maintenance spares, tools, stock, and equipment using the booking out system.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Carry out mechanical maintenance and repairs on machinery and equipment
  • Diagnose and resolve breakdown problems
  • Control and manage maintenance spares, tools, stock, and equipment
Requirements:
  • NVQ level 3 in engineering approved apprenticeship
  • Experience in a similar mechanical maintenance role
  • Good team worker capable of working alone
  • Highly organised with the ability to manage several projects simultaneously
What We Offer:
  • Basic salary and shift premium
  • 12-hour shifts, 4 on 4 off in the pattern - days/nights
  • Enhanced basic pay and shift rates for working Saturdays, Sundays, and Public holidays
  • 24 days holidays per year including statutory holidays
  • Overtime regularly available at enhanced rates
  • Production bonus paid weekly subject to production targets being met
