Job Title: Stores Operative

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Stores Operative to join our team at Intec Recruitment. As a Stores Operative, you will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks related to receiving, processing, and shipping inventory.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Receive and process incoming inventory items, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
  • Check and verify customer orders, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Prepare and complete orders for delivery or pickup, following established procedures.
  • Perform inventory controls and maintain quality standards for audits.
  • Keep a clean and safe working environment, optimizing space utilization.
  • Operate and maintain warehouse equipment, including forklifts, pallet jacks, and order pickers.
  • Report any discrepancies or damages to management.
  • Handle and document incoming and outgoing shipments accurately.
  • Organize warehouse space and maintain cleanliness, order, and safety standards.
  • Assist with physical inventory counts as required.
  • Labelling and tagging products accurately.
  • Participate in stock management and control.
  • Maintain proper documentation and records of warehouse activities.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Proven work experience as a Warehouse Associate or similar role.
  • Ability to operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment.
  • Good organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical tasks.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in work.
  • Basic math and recording abilities.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Knowledge of inventory management systems and procedures is a plus.
  • Flexibility to work in different shifts, including weekends and evenings.
  • Commitment to safety guidelines and procedures.
