About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Planning Manager to join our team at NatWest Group. As a key member of our Finance function, you will play a critical role in supporting the bank's annual budget process and various internal and regulatory stress tests.

As a Consolidation Specialist, you will be responsible for producing the monthly consolidated financial forecast for the bank and key legal entities. You will work closely with stakeholders across Finance to ensure accurate and timely delivery of financial information.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Planning and Analysis: Provide expertise on the monthly consolidation and reporting process, the annual budget, and various scenarios including regulatory stress tests. Recommend and implement improvements to enhance financial planning and analysis capabilities.
  • Stakeholder Management: Support key stakeholders across Planning & Performance and the wider Finance function in the production of accurate consolidated financial forecasts. Maintain strong working relationships with stakeholders to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
  • Accounting and Financial Reporting: Advise stakeholders across Finance on month-end accounting issues and maintain strong working relationships. Reconcile and review key outputs from the monthly consolidation and analysis, and deliver an explanation of the consolidated results.
  • Process Improvement: Support continuous improvement, operational, and data quality initiatives to enhance financial planning and analysis processes.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Relevant Experience: Proven experience in a financial reporting role, with knowledge of IFRS statutory reporting requirements, particularly consolidation accounting and principles.
  • Financial Planning and Analysis Skills: Ability to work under your own initiative, with a proactive approach to continuously improving tasks and procedures.
  • Technical Skills: Knowledge of Oracle EPM or other planning tools, and experience with stress testing would be beneficial.
  • Soft Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with stakeholders.
