Job Summary:

Expert Employment seeks a skilled Senior Precision Instrument Engineer to support the manufacture of precision instruments. The successful candidate will contribute to the production line operations, including kitting of parts, participate in optical sub-assembly, and perform optical alignment.

The ideal candidate will have experience with CAD, ability to read electronic circuit diagrams, and familiarity with ERP Systems. A degree in Physics, Optics, Electronics, or equivalent industrial experience is required.

Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to manufacturing line operations including kitting of parts
  • Participate in optical sub-assembly
  • Involved in mechanical pre-assembly
  • Perform optical alignment
  • System testing
  • Generate performance reports
  • Packaging and shipping

Continuous Improvement:

  • Involved in continuous improvement, lean and 5S suggestions
  • Focus on cycle time reduction
  • Implement cost reduction
  • Quality and reliability initiatives
  • Design and source jigs, tooling, and fixtures
  • Train production staff on new processes, tools, and product variants

Salary: $80,000 - $110,000 per annum, depending on experience.
