Job Title: O&M Manager

Carbon60 is seeking a highly skilled O&M Manager to join our team in London. As an O&M Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our renewable energy projects, including solar farms and energy infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Organize and manage maintenance activities, including subcontractors, specialized companies, and suppliers.
  • Support the Regional Head of O&M in recruitment and startup of local O&M operations.
  • Assist in budget preparation and management.
  • Liaise with engineering and construction teams on technical aspects during the operational phase.
  • Develop, implement, and coordinate maintenance procedures with contractors and in-house teams.
  • Ensure compliance with local rules and regulations.
  • Liaise with the H&S team to address any hazards or issues raised during audits.
  • Manage contracts, including EPC and O&M agreements.
  • Oversee single or multiple solar projects, ensuring O&M activities are undertaken in accordance with contractual scope.
  • Chase O&M subcontractors or teams to address failures or downtimes promptly.
  • Manage CMMS tool and fault tickets, ensuring contractual obligations are met.
  • Liaise with project clients, organizing regular update calls and addressing issues.
  • Assist Performance Analysts in implementing O&M reporting.
  • Liaise with Regional Account teams for invoices, contracts, and services.
  • Liaise with grid operators in case of failures or scheduled outages.
  • Work on FAC punch lists and pursue FAC certificates.
  • Chase up retention releases from clients.
  • Expand the database of contractors by making new collaborations.

Requirements:

  • Electrical Engineering or similar discipline.
  • Minimum 3 years proven track record in Maintenance of big-scale solar projects.
  • Experience with budget preparation and management.
  • Highly organized with attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
  • Proactive attitude, not reactive.
  • Minimum 3 years proven track record in supervision/management of mixed teams.
  • Minimum 5 years proven track record in the Solar industry.
  • Experience in Contracts Management.
  • H&S competencies.
  • Knowledge of local regulations and legal requirements.
