Key Responsibilities- Working alongside architects and technical leads to serve as the main point of contact for the management and optimization of campus network infrastructure.
- Providing expertise in Cisco SD-Access and Cisco wireless technologies, ensuring robust and scalable network solutions.
- Acting as a subject matter expert on SASE technologies, such as Palo Alto Prisma Access or Netskope NewEdge.
- Working alongside delivery teams to ensure a smooth transition of campus networks into operational support.
- Developing and enforcing network policies and procedures, aligning with industry best practices and compliance requirements.
- Performing regular upgrades, troubleshooting issues, and implementing enhancements to maintain optimal performance and seamless connectivity.
- Collaborating with IT Services teams to understand business needs and translate them into technical requirements.
- Diagnosing and resolving complex network issues, providing Level 3 support and guidance to IT Services teams.
- Proficiency in configuring and troubleshooting network devices at a low level, including switches, routers, firewalls, and access points.
- Knowledge of network protocols such as Ethernet, TCP, and IP, VLANs, and routing protocols such as OSPF and BGP.
- Experience and understanding of the delivery of IT Service design, implementation, and management.
- Experience of working with third-party suppliers of products and services, in conjunction with in-house teams to provide integrated and seamless delivery of technical solutions.
- Familiarity with network troubleshooting tools to diagnose and resolve network issues.
- Knowledge of network security principles, including access control lists, firewall policies, and VPN configurations.
- Experience in working with low-level network protocols and technologies, such as DHCP, DNS, NAT, and IP addressing.
- Ability to perform basic network device configurations, including firmware upgrades, port configurations, and VLAN assignments.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to quickly identify and resolve network issues.
- Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members, provide technical support to end users, and explain technical concepts in a clear and concise manner.
