Critical Care Nurse Leader

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Sister/Charge Nurse to join our Critical Care team at North Manchester General. As a key member of our senior nursing team, you will provide leadership and guidance to our nursing staff, contributing to the development of quality, patient experience, and patient safety agendas.
The Critical Care unit at North Manchester General is a 12-bedded unit providing level 2 and level 3 care for a mix of patients, including medical, surgical, and infectious diseases. Our team is committed to delivering the highest standard of care, and we encourage and support staff personal and professional development opportunities.
Main Responsibilities- Provide leadership and guidance to the nursing team.
- Contribute to quality, patient experience, and patient safety agendas.
- Participate in an internal rotation from days to nights.

Requirements- Registration with NMC.
- Substantial experience of working at band 6 level managing a team on a shift-by-shift basis.
- Understanding of Clinical Governance and Health and Safety issues.
- Knowledge of the code of practice in nursing.
- Demonstrate an understanding of HR policies and procedures.
- Recognised post-registration Critical Care Course.
- Evidence of having undertaken relevant further study or training as required for the post.
- Health-related degree or understanding.
- European Computer Driving Licence (ECDL) or equivalent.
